10 Minute Slow Cooker BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwiches

One of my husband’s favorite foods has always been pulled pork! He kind of has a sweet tooth, and I think what he enjoys so much is honestly the BBQ sauce. Regardless of why he’s such a fan, there are a lot of things that make sandwiches with pulled pork a great dish. Yes they are wonderful in the summer – but pair them along with a heartier side and they transition to fall fantastically as well.

One of my favorite things about these Slow Cooker BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwiches is that in all honesty they probably only take 10 minutes. That’s because this is a dump recipe. As in all you have to do is dump the ingredients in your crock pot. I don’t have kids, but I would imagine that in a few years when I do that a crock pot will probably be one of my best friends. I’m also pretty excited that it has a Mesquite flavor, I definitely enjoy the undertones of that!

So – here’s the magic behind this dish. First you just mix your seasoning. You’ll need to mix up  1 tsp black pepper, 2 tsps salt and 2 1/2 Tbsps of McCormick Grill Mates Mesquite Seasoning.

After you’ve mixed it up, cover the pork loin roast.

Next, set it in a greased crock pot. Pour 1 1/2 cups of vegetable (or chicken) broth in it. Add 2 cloves of garlic.

Finally, cook on low for 8 hours and BAM, it’s nearly ready!

Then take your slow cooker bbq pulled pork and shred it (I usually use two forks). It should be very tender. You can choose to remove some of the juice now. It’s all about having the right consistency once you pour in BBQ sauce.

The pork loin roast that I cooked was a little over 2 1/2 pounds. So I used a fair amount of sauce in my slow cooker bbq pulled pork for the sandwich. It was about 8 oz of BBQ sauce in total.

We did have some leftover hamburger buns. However, I just wanted mine on a piece of bread that was buttered and toasted. Next, I even threw some bread & butter pickles on it.

The hint of smoky flavors and sweetness of the sauce paired with butter and pickles, is heaven. Plus, as always, it was a winner with the husband too! He even had seconds (and around here that’s honestly pretty notable).

This recipe is super convenient and most people really enjoy it! It’s a easy pleaser for any family member. Do you have any dump recipes you’ve found that have blown you out of the water? One of my favorite dump recipes (sans crock pot) has got to be The Best 4 Ingredient Hot Cocoa Mix! Seriously, with fall right around the corner and my love for Christmas year round it’s a must. Plus in New Mexico, we do this weird thing where sometimes we enjoy it when it rains.
