I’ve always been a huge fan of the TV show Friends ever since I’ve known it existed. It started a little before my time and then of course, I had to wait a few years to truly get all of the hilarious innuendos. I remember the first episode that I ever watched was the very first thanksgiving that my now fiance had chosen to spend with the whole family. (He didn’t run away then, and he’s stuck around ever since despite all of the craziness, so I guess that you could say he’s a keeper.) For anyone who has spent that holiday watching Friends they know that it’s an all day thing and it’s all of the episodes that have captured that day over the years. My love for Friends started here and continued over the years with me getting the full boxed season for Christmas (which was the BEST GIFT EVER!) So for all of the Friends aficionados that enjoy this throwback still, I decided to put together these DIY Friends Themed Valentines Day Cards Printables just for you!
I know that with Valentine’s day coming up, it’s the time of year that people are looking for something cute and easy to give to those they care about. Also, I’m not a parent but I would venture that parents are also way into the easy thing because your time is incredibly limited and of course you want to make the most of it! One of my favorite desserts to eat and take to class when I was growing up has been Rice Krispie Treats. This is an easy spin on a really quick classic dessert that makes these great Pull At Your Heartstrings Rice Krispie Treats which are perfect for any class or break room to join in the festivities.
So we’ve talked about how to make your significant other happy with food – from a Brown Sugar Bacon Rose Bouquet to these adorable Valentines Day Mini Churro Bites and even easy kid friendly breakfast picks like Very Berry Heart Ombre Pancakes. But what we haven’t discussed, has been how to correctly celebrate those fantastic ladies in our life. Yes, that’s right. It’s been trending on Pinterest this week – we’re going to be talking about a fantastic recipe for GALENTINES day! Yes, this is a thing and it’s WONDERFUL! That’s why I decided to make this Galentine’s Day Edible Cookie Dough! Continue reading “Galentine’s Day Edible Cookie Dough”
My favorite time of the year spreads from late September through to Christmas day. It starts with Fair Season. My experience with Fair is probably different than most others because I was blessed enough to show dairy heifers in high school. Rather than focusing on the rides I primarily would be taking care of our cattle. The smell of sawdust mingled with fair food always takes me back, particularly – the smell of sweet bread and cinnamon. You’ve guessed it – Churros. Also, I love funnel cake and will usually get that at the bare minimum to kick off the week. In an effort to give women what they ACTUALLY want for valentine’s day instead of the standard chocolates and flowers (because even though those are nice, these are way better) I wanted to show you how to make these Valentines Day Mini Churro Bites!
As I mentioned before, I think a great way to show love to those that are special in your life on Valentine’s day is to start out their day in the best way possible. One option would of course be this fabulous Brown Sugar Candied Bacon Bouquet but if you’re more into pancakes I wanted to share with you a super cute way to dress those up! This recipe isn’t really difficult at all and they don’t take much longer than traditional pancakes – so why not make them festive? That’s why I wanted to share with you today how I made these Very Berry Heart Ombre Pancake Stacks.
We all know that if we don’t change something our lives a little each day that on New Years Eve we’re going to be sitting in the exact same boat as we are now. I want to be kinder in 2017. Me saying I want to be kinder isn’t going to do the trick, but me making an effort and being intentional in changing my habits will. If you want the world to be a better place – you have to do your part in changing it. That’s how you change your reality. You don’t have to move mountains, but you can take the first step. In light of trying to do this I decided to finally make a Homeward Bound Parcel.
It’s the start of a brand new year, and many have made resolutions. But, about two and a half weeks into 2017 statistically many will have given up on them. Just like that. It can start in small ways of neglecting part of the exercises you’re working through to attain your goal, or it can come suddenly. But whatever the reason, it still happens. However, if you’d like to learn how to set better goals, be sure they’re SMART. You can read more about this from our post How to Write New Years Resolutions That Don’t Suck. You’ve probably read about collecting memories on sticky notes in a jar all year long and then reading them on New Years Eve. Which is great! But this is something a little different. That’s why I decided to start Project DIY Inspiration Jar 2017!
