Galentine’s Day Edible Cookie Dough

So we’ve talked about how to make your significant other happy with food – from a Brown Sugar Bacon Rose Bouquet to these adorable Valentines Day Mini Churro Bites and even easy kid friendly breakfast picks like Very Berry Heart Ombre Pancakes. But what we haven’t discussed, has been how to correctly celebrate those fantastic ladies in our life. Yes, that’s right. It’s been trending on Pinterest this week – we’re going to be talking about a fantastic recipe for GALENTINES day! Yes, this is a thing and it’s WONDERFUL! That’s why I decided to make this Galentine’s Day Edible Cookie Dough!

We all know the primary problem with Cookie Dough is that you’re not supposed to eat it. I mean, we all eat it. Let’s not lie and act as if we actually follow the warnings on the label. Because seriously I bet like ninety percent of the people reading this probably just eat part of it. I’ve always loved cookie dough but I remembered just how much I enjoyed it when my fiance bought two rolls of cookie dough for Superbowl Sunday and informed me that at least half of one of them was for eating. Which really wasn’t surprising at all come to think of it.

I’m actually really in love with the whole Galentine’s day concept! Now granted, I’ve been in a relationship with my fiance for five Valentine’s days (which is so crazy to think about) but I do remember doing a Valentine’s day with my best friend a few years back and it was a BLAST! We didn’t do anything too wild and crazy, I mean we pretty much did dinner and a movie. We were literally babies in high school so we didn’t stay out really late or travel out of the city but we did have a lot of fun and it will always be one of my fondest memories. Getting to see all of my close friends when they’re on break from school is part of what makes the Christmas season and spring break even more loveable.

I think one of the best parts about this recipe is that it’s so easy, and it’s PERFECT for a girls night in if you’re not necessarily the bar hopping/partying type. I’m completely down with staying in and watching a Sandra Bullock movie most evenings, I know the feeling. It’s literally one step and most of the ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen.

Mix brown sugar, butter, vanilla, milk, flour, salt and food coloring together. I tried to do it with my hands (gloved of course so they didn’t get dyed)  and would definitely recommend using a mixer instead, it works WAY Better!

Then you can just top it off with sprinkles or other goodies!
