A huge part of my life is being a ‘college student’. For those of you who are not in college yet/not moved out yet or are old enough that you’ve forgotten about those couple of years I just wanted to give you a quick insight about what my week consists of. I love Friends the TV. show. Yes I know it’s old, but I still find it to be fantastic! What better way to explain my typical week as a student than with Friend’s memes? (I was inspired by Jeneva Rose’s post on buzzfeed entitled “79 Ways ‘Friends’ Were Our Friends
We get overwhelmed whenever it seems like all our professors are in cahoots and we’ve got portfolios due, a few tests and multiple papers to turn in. On the same day. But, the good news is it’s actually great practice as multitasking is just part of adult life.
Eventually we realize we’re poor. This usually happens the day before bills are due… or the day bills are due. Then we feel semi rich mid month and buy something small or ridiculous because our bank account seems artificially high. Then bills are due, then we’re poor again. It’s an unending cycle. The good news is that unlike Phoebe, I’m sure we all have computers to send emails but as far as anything else we spend a good deal of our time searching for scholarships to help pay bills.
We try to be really dedicated to physical fitness by going to the free classes the gym on campus offers at the beginning of the semester. Then your initiative to actually perform well as a student takes over and for most of us we don’t make being active a priority (except for trekking across campus, that’s an excellent work out)! I had to include the gif above because I run just like this! It’s kind of embarrassing, and for that reason the only time you will see me run is in the event of a zombie apocalypse.
This is probably just me but on a pretty regular basis I get harassed by poultry or birds, I’m not overly fond of fowl…they just really freak me out!
This is kind of how we feel when we have to do adult things, like go grocery shopping.
Sometimes we find it kind of hard to keep up with who is with with who today.
Sometimes we do this thing when we make our passengers pray like they’re in the death seat because we’re bad drivers. Or maybe because we’re distracted drivers. Or maybe this is just me.
We forget that things are still due electronically over the holidays.
And finally yes, we do like pizza! Coming home Friday and not having to cook except for popping a cheap frozen pizza in the oven is a godsend when you’re a busy college student.
