You probably already spend time on Pinterest. I mean, who wouldn’t? It’s essentially a beautiful catalog of hopes, dreams and valuable information with an enviable aesthetic. But many would argue, more substantial than Instagram. I started taking Pinterest seriously in October of 2017, and since then my profile views have grownimmensely! From the humble beginnings of just a little over 53,000 profile views on average when in May I received about 8.3 Million Pinterest profile views in JUST ONE MONTH. What else has that done for me? It has driven substantial traffic to my blog! For instance, this month (granted I have yet to work with Instagram or Facebook much this year) about 94% of the users who have ready blog posts found me because of my work on Pinterest.

Now before we go any further, I want to make sure to share the typical Tailwind results may generate with you. Every case is different, and this is simply mine!

After much thought about my journey with Pinterest profile views I wanted to share all that I had learned in regards to Pinterest. In this article you can find FREE actionable tips on how to capitalize on the beautiful tools that Tailwind offers to insanely grow  your blog views!

These are the same strategies and ideas that I have used to grow my Pinterest profile views. These will help you steer your profile in the right direction for Pinterest Success. Statistically users on Pinterest are much more pre-disposed to making a purchase than just searching on let’s say Google or Amazon.

Pinterest is a power-house when it comes to driving traffic. It’s kind of my FAVORITE! Initially I definitely underestimated it’s power, but it’s because I wasn’t using it consistently in my strategy. Which was SO silly of me. We’re going to cover 5 Actionable Tips that paired with Tailwind were most helpful for me! And with the kind of growth that I’ve seen for me the less than $10 investment is WELL WORTH IT!

How I Get 8.3 Million Pinterest Profile Views Monthly For Just $10 A Month

Tip 1. Schedule Your Pins!

So if you’re on Pinterest all of the time, that is absolutely great! It’s kind of like Youtube in that one moment you’re looking up something useful then you’re watching a video of a cat riding a giraffe. Or some other nonsense. Some of our readers will be consistent Pinterest users in their down-time. Others get on in spurts. But what if I told you that by strategically using just about an hour total a week, you could grow your profile views immensely? I mean that’s just about ten minutes a day. Because you can. Tailwind understands how Pinterest works and knows when most of your audience is active! So it will predetermine time slots that would be most valuable for you to publish content in.

Scheduling pins with Tailwind is what allowed me to increase my Pinterest Profile Views to 8.3 Million Monthly!

How To Schedule Your Pins With Tailwind

Here’s how it works, after you install the Tailwind extension on your browser (which is super easy) just hover over the Pin you’d like to schedule.

Select the Tailwind Extension (Tailwind’s blue logo in the upper left-hand corner of the pin).

Then you’ll choose the board you want it to be pinned to, put in any relevant keywords (we discuss these in Tip 4) and select Schedule Now.

Just like that. There’s no guessing for an optimal time and you also don’t have to dig through your analytics to find that information. Since you’re automating that also means that you can take a day off of social media management here or there. Which in today’s exhausting rat race is all we really truly want.

Once you head back to your Tailwind Dashboard once you select the Scheduled Pins Tab on the left-hand you can see a preview of your pin underneath Your Schedule and a full preview with the caption underneath the Publisher tab with the particular date reflected for easy navigation.

So you choose the content, and bam Tailwind drops them in front of most of your audience at the most optimum times! You can schedule content out FAR in advance. I usually schedule my content out the week/month prior so it’s set up. I recently did an experiment where I quit scheduling content consistently and during that time frame my views dropped immensely, so they’re definitely correlated.

Tip 2. Pin Trending Content (if it aligns with your brand)

Have you ever darkened the doors of the “Trending” tab on Pinterest? Yeah, me neither until last fall. But then I did, and I’ve never looked back since and I personally feel like it can really boost your Pinterest profile views! Pinterest determines what content is trending and this is a great way to get more eyes on your profile and ultimately on your content.

Simply select Trending from your Pinterest dashboard to find this content.

Now at this point, you can go about it a few different ways. I choose to pin from each category (if it’s on-brand). You can choose to save your pins now or schedule them with your Tailwind Extension. For instance, I choose to select Bump Progression Pics from the Trending tab.

If you choose to schedule Trending Content with Tailwind for an extra punch each morning, this can be very successful! But things can stop trending at any point on Pinterest, so be aware that if it’s not on brand, it may fall on deaf ears. I have done a little of both depending on time constraints.

Tip 3. Make Beautiful, Branded Re-Pinnable Pins! (and re-share them)

You may be thinking, gee I want my content on Pinterest. I have beautiful photographs that I took the utmost care taking and editing, but I don’t understand how to create an actual branded pin. But if you’re not a graphic designer then don’t sweat it! You don’t have to be!

My favorite tool for people not comfortable with all of the Adobe Suite products is in fact Canva. And it can really increase your Pinterest profile views. Because who doesn’t love aesthetically gorgeous things? Need a beautiful Facebook Cover Photo? Use Canva! Not only does Canva have a lot of gorgeous templates for pretty much every social media channel but it’s FREE! Just play around with the templates they have, as far as the fonts and colors and once you find your branded groove you’re all set.

In another blog post, we will be breaking down just how we craft beautiful long-pins that perform incredibly well on Pinterest.

Tip 4. It’s ALL About Those Keywords, So Use Them!

Seriously. So basically there is A LOT of information about making your blog posts accessible to someone online. Social media is great, but you also need to dive into the fundamentals of SEO (or Search Engine Optimization). That’s what’s going to help someone searching for a chocolate cake recipe find one through a Google Search.

Basically Pinterest is a giant search engine, and even though it will help you find similar visual content you should help it out. You want your posts to be easily found which can drive up your Pinterest Profile Views, so start using keywords in your Pin description! You should be using pin descriptions in all content you are pinning ideally (even trending and scheduled content that is not your own) in my opinion if you have the time.

What does this look like? When you’re creating a pin before you schedule it, do a simple Pinterest search and it will display all the relevant keywords below the initial search.

Then just neatly add them to your Pin’s description and wa-lah, your potential audience can find you! For instance, if I was creating or re-pinning a pin about chocolate cake I would choose the relevant keywords and insert them into my pin’s description when I first schedule it.

Tip 5. Pin FOR Your Audience

When you start out scheduling pins, you may be wondering – what the heck do I even pin? So obviously, things that are going to be useful to your audience and coordinate with your brand would be a good place to start! You’re not going to increase your Pinterest profile views significantly by just pinning content you like. That’s something you do for leisure in addition to this. And Pinterest will show you that through your Analytics Tab, specifically Audience Insights. You will not have access to this if you haven’t switched your personal account to a business account, which is FREE and you totally should!

You obviously want to be pinning from your site but to stay front-of-mind it is very important to pin other content relatable to what your audience wants and needs.

There are also categories that are more likely to trend on a daily basis, so I find it’s best to mesh those two to decide what to pin. We will be putting together a blog post soon about how to pin for your audience and analyze a few of your most important Audience Insights via Pinterest Analytics.

These are the same actionable tips that I used to get 8.3 million people to see my profile in just a month!

So you may be thinking, so what…how do I know that Tailwind has that big of an impact on my Pinterest Profile Views Monthly?

Well my friends, my traffic coming from Pinterest changed significantly in May. That’s because of two reasons:

  1. I actually thought that once I had grown my profile views to that monstrous number they would maintain themselves.
  2. I had been working blogging and working full-time since August and needed a BREAK.

So I quit my strategy. Cold-Turkey. I just wasn’t disciplined about scheduling content like I had been and I wasn’t worried about pinning trending content. Like if it happened it happened but frankly most of the time it didn’t. Which I’m a touch embarrassed about. But I want you to know the whole experience.

You can see that doing that for two straight months had a significant impact. If we’re analyzing the graph below this is quick snapshot of the impact that Tailwind had upon my monthly viewers. Here are a few important time frames to note:

  • August 15th: Started seriously and consistently blogging.
  • Pre-October 15th: I had some pins of blog content on Pinterest, but I wasn’t consistently managing my strategy.
  • October to May: Consistently pinned and placed content from blog on Pinterest.
  • May – July 1st: Abandoned strategy and Tailwind.
  • July 1st – Present: My Avg. Monthly Viewers are on the rebound! Just from two weeks of consistently pinning trending content, scheduling content, using keywords and placing my blog posts on Pinterest and my Avg. Monthly Viewers and Avg. Monthly Engaged are respectively 17,758% and 25,885% higher!

So this is your proof that pairing Tailwind with smart and consistent pinning practices will yield results! And why not try it for FREE to see if it works for your business?

Plus if it works, you’re just going to have to forego three cups of coffee a month to pay for it, because it’s actually less than $10 a month.
