DIY Inspiration Jar 2017

DIY Inspiration Jar 2017 (+ Free Printables)

It’s the start of a brand new year, and many have made resolutions. But, about two and a half weeks into 2017 statistically many will have given up on them. Just like that. It can start in small ways of neglecting part of the exercises you’re working through to attain your goal, or it can come suddenly. But whatever the reason, it still happens. However, if you’d like to learn how to set better goals, be sure they’re SMART. You can read more about this from our post How to Write New Years Resolutions That Don’t Suck. You’ve probably read about collecting memories on sticky notes in a jar all year long and then reading them on New Years Eve. Which is great! But this is something a little different. That’s why I decided to start Project DIY Inspiration Jar 2017!

Attaining Motivation (DIY Style)

I understand that people find motivation in many different ways. For me, I have always found solace in the written word. It puts my soul to rest by saying how I’m feeling more eloquently than I could have ever tried vocally. With that being said, I’m also the type of person who enjoys consuming quotes proactively in creating a more positive perspective for the day. So with that being said, I decided it was necessary to put together a “good-will bank” if you will through a DIY Inspiration Jar to start out the more trying days better and share more light into those that are already good!

How to Say It

I found 365 quotes to inspire me during 2017. Let’s face it, this would have been valuable to send out on New Years Eve. But I believe it is even more needed today as the end of this week is when many start to slip. But if you can just hang on another week, you will have created a habit. It only takes 21 days to change your life – for better or worse, in a large or small way. You can take control of how you live your life and how you perceive it, no matter how challenging it can sometimes be.

Some Assembly Req’d

Now, to create an DIY Inspiration Jar for 2017 you need two things: inspiration and a jar. Pretty easy, right? Like I said, I chose quotes. But you can find inspiration anywhere. For you it might be small poems or prints of things you adore about your life. Really, the sky is the limit. But, lets say that quotes are your thing. You can spend time finding quotes that you absolutely adore, or you can even borrow mine! (Because seriously I spent what seemed to be forever typing them up).

Here’s how my inspiration jar turned out – nothing fancy but it will do the trick!
